What you'll do

  • Design, implement, test, debug, and operate components of the OCI Key Management Service.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software for KMS services and related infrastructure.
  • Contribute to features for key lifecycle management, cryptographic operations, and encryption-at-rest.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call support and incident response.
  • Implement reliability improvements and operational tooling for the KMS stack.
  • Write technical documents, design notes, runbooks, and operational guidance.

What we're looking for

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, security services, or large-scale backend services (preferred).
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C++, C, Go, or a similar systems/backend programming language.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Strong ownership, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
