Senior Software Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and build backend services and APIs to provide self-service cloud capabilities like networking, IAM, and account provisioning.
• Convert manual infrastructure runbooks into automated products and software interfaces that are safe by default.
• Develop and maintain internal platforms using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) as reusable, tested software.
• Manage the reliability of production services by designing for observability, SLOs, and self-healing capabilities.
• Act as a product owner to gather user feedback and data to shape the platform roadmap and developer experience.
• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents and lead engineering efforts to eliminate recurring classes of problems.
• Utilize AI-assisted and agentic tooling to accelerate the design, implementation, and operation of cloud infrastructure.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating backend or platform services in production.
• Solid system design skills for distributed systems and API-based platforms with a focus on simplicity, resiliency, and observability.
• Production experience in Golang or Python (preferred), or another modern language with solid testing and debugging habits.
• Strong experience with at least one public cloud provider (preferably AWS) and its core primitives like VPCs, IAM, and networking.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform structured as reusable, tested software.
• Working knowledge of cloud security fundamentals including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and policy enforcement.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and backend services.
• Experience building internal platforms or developer tooling (preferred); familiarity with service mesh or Linux networking (preferred).
