Senior Software Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Own and evolve the deployment platform, including CI/CD, PR environments, and release safety for containerized and serverless services.
• Build the foundation for AI-accelerated development by growing the internal agentic toolkit and skill library.
• Ship inference applications at scale by taking greenfield services from specification to production.
• Modernize existing services to improve performance and scalability for the AI era.
• Lead the security strategy for autonomous agents and their tool use to mitigate agentic threats.
• Extend the Model Context Protocol surface to enable conversational and intent-based font discovery.
• Contribute to customer-facing experiences including search, browse, and discovery features.
• Manage production reliability through on-call support, incident management, and technical mentorship of other engineers.

What we're looking for

• Typically 12+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated senior-level impact.
• Deep full-stack fundamentals including build, testing, code quality, and production maturity for latency, scale, and reliability.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Ruby/Rails, Python, Go, Terraform, Chef, Kubernetes/Helm, and AWS.
• Strong CI/CD ownership using Jenkins or equivalent, including containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and progressive delivery strategies.
• Experience with relational, caching, search, and event-driven/pub-sub data and messaging layers.
• Hands-on understanding of AI-enabled systems, including agent runtimes, tool calling, MCP, LLM/inference serving, and sandboxed execution.
• Track record of leading complex cross-team technical efforts and delivering high-impact platform work.
• Ruby on Rails at scale and experience decomposing large monoliths (preferred).
