As a Senior Cybersecurity Architect within the Defense Sector, you will support a weapons system program for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. You will manage cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, encryption, and risk assessments while participating in the Change Control Board. Key technologies include Splunk (Enterprise Security, SOAR, UBA), HBSS/ESS (Trellix ePO), ACAS (Tenable/Nessus), and SolarWinds Observability. You will solve complex compliance challenges by building robust architectures like policy-as-code and zero-trust designs to secure classified networks and cloud-hosted assets.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity strategies aligned with DoD and Federal security guidelines.
  • Architect and implement secure cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Integrate security measures into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows to ensure automated compliance.
  • Manage Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities and maintain documentation for DoD accreditation.
  • Configure, tune, and monitor enterprise security tools including Splunk, HBSS, ACAS, and SolarWinds.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Support cloud identity and access management (ICAM), encryption, and key management systems.
  • Participate in the Change Control Board to guide engineering milestones and technical decisions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience or Master’s Degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • US Citizenship with an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain an SCI.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience configuring tools including Splunk, HBSS/ESS (Trellix ePO), ACAS (Tenable/Nessus), and SolarWinds Observability.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks such as Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
  • DoD 8140 advanced certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or ISSAP.
  • Experience in cloud security, securing classified networks (SIPR/JWICS), and DevSecOps workflows.
