Senior Customer Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery and build bespoke architectures for security, networking, and developer platforms.
• Deliver product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to prospective customers.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the entire customer lifecycle from onboarding to expansion.
• Manage long-term technical relationships to align customer business goals with the product roadmap.
• Meet sales quotas by driving platform adoption and identifying cross-sell or up-sell opportunities.
• Conduct technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to demonstrate return on investment to C-level executives.
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and telemetry monitoring.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineer.
• Broad technical expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Proven track record of operating in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with an understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills to bridge the gap between technical details and C-suite business strategy.
• Experience building, deploying, or architecting solutions using Cloudflare's developer platform and AI ecosystem (preferred).
• Experience with prompt engineering, Large Language Model orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures (preferred).
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages to write custom integration scripts and API connectors (preferred).
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
