Senior Customer Engineer, Pre-sales

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery and build bespoke architectures for security, networking, and developer platforms.
• Deliver product demonstrations and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to prospective customers.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the entire customer lifecycle from onboarding to expansion.
• Manage long-term technical relationships to align customer business goals with the product roadmap.
• Meet sales quotas by identifying cross-sell opportunities and ensuring deep platform adoption.
• Conduct technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to demonstrate ROI to C-level executives.
• Use AI agents and internal platforms to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and monitoring.

What we're looking for

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Broad expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with an understanding of SaaS metrics and enterprise sales cycles.
• Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills to communicate technical details to C-suite executives.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Cantonese to support customers in Hong Kong.
• Hands-on experience building or architecting solutions using Cloudflare’s developer platform, Workers AI, and AI Gateway.
• Experience with prompt engineering, Large Language Model orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
