Senior Customer Engineer, Named

What you'll do

• Lead technical deep-dive discovery to map complex customer infrastructure to Cloudflare architectures and bespoke solutions.
• Define and scope technical evaluation plans and success criteria for Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
• Deliver tailored technical presentations, architectural diagrams, and demonstrations to solve specific security and performance challenges.
• Design structured migration and onboarding blueprints for DNS, Zero Trust, and WAF configurations.
• Monitor customer health scores and telemetry to resolve integration bottlenecks and ensure rapid time-to-value.
• Carry a variable quota for new business acquisition, platform adoption, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to translate platform capabilities into business ROI for executives.
• Use AI agents and LLMs to automate routine tasks like RFP responses and sandbox provisioning.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, or Technical Account Management.
• Ability to design and articulate complex enterprise network and security architectures clearly.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for engineers and C-level executives.
• Proven track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with an understanding of SaaS metrics.
• Depth in at least four areas: Internet fundamentals, Security, Performance, AI Proficiency, Coding/Scripting, or Developer Platform Fluency.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, or regulatory knowledge like PCI DSS and SOC 2 (preferred).
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
