Senior Customer Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery to uncover how customers build products and where Cloudflare fits their architecture.
• Join sales-led discovery calls early to qualify deals and stay embedded in customer Slack channels.
• Map customer business problems and AI initiatives to specific Cloudflare platform solutions.
• Build technical relationships with founding engineers, developers, and CTOs to establish internal champions.
• Develop and present tailored technical content and live demos for both developers and senior leadership.
• Lead proof-of-concept builds and technical validation activities for prospective and existing customers.
• Evangelize the Cloudflare Developer Platform to encourage customers to build on the platform rather than just consume services.
• Create professional content such as reference architectures, blog posts, and internal knowledge-sharing materials.

What we're looking for

• Experience in a pre-sales or other technical customer-facing role.
• Ability to lead technical discovery and conduct architecture discussions with engineering teams and CTOs.
• Proficiency in demonstrating and evangelizing the Cloudflare Developer Platform and its core services.
• Knowledge of AI/GenAI application patterns, including RAG and vector databases.
• Familiarity with networking, security, and cloud computing technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Scripting familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Golang to read code and build demos.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.
