As a Senior Consulting Engineer within the Professional Services team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to diverse customers ranging from startups to tier-1 banks. What you'll do

Support customers through all phases of the application lifecycle including planning, design, deployment, and optimization.
Deliver classroom-based training to architects, developers, and operations personnel.
Act as a trusted advisor to guide clients through MongoDB adoption and technical challenges.
Communicate complex technical proposals simply and convincingly to diverse audiences.
Influence the MongoDB product roadmap by providing feedback from field experience.
Maintain required billable utilization levels while delivering consulting services.
Communicate the product roadmap effectively to external clients.

What we're looking for

10+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience (preferably in multiple industries).
Competence in at least one language: Java, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, or Go.
Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus (preferred).
Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, development methodologies, and deployment operations.
Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
Confidence speaking and presenting in collaborative customer settings.
Experience working with Public Sector customers.
