What you'll do

Design, maintain, and improve global production traffic infrastructure.
Ensure high levels of uptime and quality of service for Apple customers.
Take ownership of reliability issues using a wide variety of tools.

Manage internal and external traffic within complex, distributed environments.
Maintain strict privacy and security requirements for global traffic infrastructure.
Monitor and improve logging, networking, and application performance.

What we're looking for

6+ years of cloud engineering experience.
Experience with load balancing (Nginx, Envoy, and Envoy Gateway), proxies (Squid), and edge deployments.
Familiarity with Networking, Security, Logging, and Application Monitoring.
Ability to coach and mentor other individual contributors.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Bachelors Degree in computer science, a related field, or 10 years of equivalent work experience (preferred).
Experience developing in Go, Python, or similar programming languages (preferred).
