What you'll do

Design and deliver end-to-end platform capabilities from initial requirement gathering to production deployment.
Set technical direction for multi-quarter initiatives by aligning engineering, security, and SRE partners on shared outcomes.
Architect "platform-as-a-product" offerings to reduce friction for internal developers moving toward production.
Implement security-first patterns and policy-as-code controls like Kyverno and OPA to automate secure workflows.
Scale existing technologies and integrate new tools to meet growth projections and ensure long-term platform health.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design partnerships, and technical coaching.
Represent the team in cross-organization initiatives to maintain a cohesive technical strategy across platforms.
Evangelize next-generation cloud and DevOps practices to build organizational buy-in for new technologies.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering with end-to-end production ownership.
Experience building "platform-as-a-product" offerings for internal developers.
Expertise in Kubernetes, containers, and managing multi-tenant, multi-cluster, and multi-region footprints.
Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Crossplane and Terraform.
Proficiency in security-first architecture with Policy as Code tools like Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper.
Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure), GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and service meshes.
Strong networking fundamentals, Linux internals, and experience with microservices and distributed systems.
