What you'll do

Own the end-to-end design and delivery of platform capabilities from initial requirements to production.
Drive technical direction for multi-quarter initiatives by aligning engineering, security, and SRE partners.
Architect and evolve "platform-as-a-product" offerings to reduce friction for internal developers.
Design and roll out security-first patterns and policy-as-code controls like Kyverno and OPA.
Solve complex infrastructure problems using a mix of open-source and in-house tooling.
Scale existing technologies and shepherd new innovations from experimental stages to production-grade adoption.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design partnerships, and technical coaching.
Represent the team in cross-organization initiatives to ensure a cohesive technical strategy.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering with end-to-end production ownership.
10+ years of total work experience is highly desirable.
Expertise in Kubernetes, containers, and managing multi-tenant, multi-cluster, and multi-region footprints.
Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Crossplane and Terraform to design composition and provider patterns.
Proficiency in security-first architecture using Policy as Code tools like Kyverno and OPA/Gatekeeper.
Expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and service meshes.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, Linux internals, microservices, and distributed systems.
