As a Senior Chemist – Specialty Adhesives R&D, you will provide technical leadership for specialty adhesive technologies used in demanding industrial bonding applications. You will serve as a subject matter expert in solvent-borne polymer-based bonding systems, connecting formulation chemistry and mechanical performance to solve complex technical challenges. Your daily responsibilities include designing and interpreting mechanical, environmental, and durability testing; providing manufacturing support and troubleshooting process issues; and performing advanced failure analyses for customer problems. You will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Operations teams while engaging directly with customers to translate their needs into product improvements. The role requires expertise in adhesives, polymers, coatings, or elastomers, along with skills in chemical and materials characterization. You will work on solving technical issues related to formulation chemistry, manufacturing scale-up, and structural adhesive systems.
