As a Senior Business Systems Analyst on the Refining Digital team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering transformative technology solutions to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency across refining operations. You will partner with business leaders and refinery stakeholders to define strategies, influence priorities, and manage enterprise-scale initiatives from concept through value realization. Your daily work involves leading the identification of strategic digital initiatives, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and managing cross-functional testing strategies. You will navigate complex IT and OT landscapes while working with technologies such as Digital Twins, connected worker solutions, industrial data platforms, and advanced analytics. Key competencies include Agile methodologies, requirements management, business process modeling, and change management. This role solves the challenge of bridging operational needs with technical innovation to drive measurable value within a refining environment.
Identify, evaluate, and deliver strategic digital initiatives to create measurable business value across refining operations.
Serve as a trusted advisor to shape the digital roadmap and identify opportunities for operational excellence.
Align technology investments with business objectives across both IT and OT landscapes.
Conduct cost-benefit and return on investment analyses to support management's decision-making on system implementations.
Lead the development and execution of cross-functional testing strategies for new technology deliveries.
Manage the documentation, analysis, and prioritization of user stories and feedback for system improvements.
Bridge the gap between operational needs and technical innovation using tools like Digital Twins and advanced analytics.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field (preferred).
5+ years of relevant experience required.
Experience leading complex business and technology initiatives in refining, manufacturing, industrial, or operational technology environments (preferred).
Experience with Data Contextualization or Industrial Digital Twin technologies (preferred).
Understanding of IT/OT convergence and integrating systems across industrial and enterprise environments (preferred).
Proven ability to influence senior leaders, build consensus, and drive change across large, matrixed organizations (preferred).
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, SDLC, requirements management, and business process modeling.
Strong skills in analytical thinking, communication, and change management.
