Senior Automation / Controls Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and integrate advanced control systems to ensure stable and efficient EUV light production.
• Design and implement complex algorithms for controller design, optimization, system identification, and signal processing.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical guidance to shape product roadmaps and system specifications.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and verification of control systems in lab and cleanroom environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead the development of innovative control solutions for high-tech hardware.
• Analyze large datasets to identify root causes for algorithm failures in manufacturing and fielded units.
• Create technical documentation including system requirements, design specifications, procedures, and training materials.
• Provide on-site support at customer locations for hardware upgrades and troubleshooting in fabrication facilities.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field is required; Master's or PhD preferred.
• Must possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in controls engineering, automation, and algorithm development.
• Experience designing and implementing complex feedback control, optimization, or automation systems is required.
• Proficiency in developing control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink is required.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ and Python is highly desirable.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment, plasma systems, or lithography systems is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined by U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
• Ability to perform hands-on laboratory work and troubleshooting in a cleanroom environment is required.
