The Scientist, Integration and Test Engineer joins the Space Systems Sector within the Space and Mission Systems Segment. The role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems to solve integration challenges for space payloads and spacecraft buses while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integration and test operations for space payload programs.
Develop enterprise-wide test strategies, verification approaches, and integration roadmaps in collaboration with engineering.
Oversee the daily activities of the Integration and Test Engineering team to ensure technical accuracy and safety.
Coordinate test readiness, integration sequences, and test campaigns while maintaining proper configuration management.
Serve as the primary test operations interface for internal leadership and external customers.
Track program performance, risks, and milestones to ensure timely communication and mitigation planning.
Support business pursuits by contributing to technical proposal reviews and Basis of Estimate development.
Perform on-site operations at test facilities and partner sites as required.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Minimum of 16 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
Active U.S. Government TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Experience leading integration and test activities for space payloads, spacecraft buses, or other complex aerospace systems (preferred).
Background in developing or executing verification and validation plans for hardware involving environmental, functional, or space-qualification testing (preferred).
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems commonly used in space hardware (preferred).
