The Manager, Molecular Simulation Engineering will lead the MD Simulation Engineering team within the BioNeMo division to build the computational foundation for biological discovery. This hands-on technical manager will lead, hire, and develop software engineers to build GPU-native simulation software for the scientific community. Key responsibilities include defining the vision and roadmap, managing end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams, and translating research prototypes into production-quality, benchmarked software. The role requires expertise in GPU computing, high-performance scientific software, and production GPU libraries. Candidates must understand molecular dynamics concepts like force fields, electrostatics, and periodic boundary conditions. You will drive engineering completion through code quality, CI/CD, and multi-SKU validation while maintaining technical credibility and coordinating dependencies with external partners to solve complex biological simulation problems at scale.

Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for GPU-accelerated simulation software.

What we're looking for
Software engineering experience.
3+ years of experience managing an engineering team with direct reports.
Strong technical foundation in GPU computing and high-performance scientific software.
Experience shipping production GPU libraries, scientific computing software, or developer-facing APIs.
Familiarity with molecular dynamics simulation concepts such as force fields and periodic boundary conditions.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computational Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
PhD-level education or comparable experience in computational chemistry, biophysics, applied mathematics, or computer science with a focus on HPC (preferred).
Experience with GPU compiler toolchains or kernel delivery mechanisms (preferred).
