The SAP Asset Management Solution Architect serves as a key architecture leader within the Digital Core team, overseeing solution design governance and technical leadership for the Asset Management domain. This role involves designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions while guiding delivery teams through complex integration landscapes. The architect manages capabilities including Maintenance Work Management, Enterprise Asset Management, Master Data Governance, and Prometheus scheduling. Day-to-day responsibilities involve translating business requirements into technology solutions, promoting fit-to-standard SAP practices, and reducing custom extensions. Key technologies and tools include SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, Azure Data Lake, API Management, Documentum, GIS, and various mobile and web scheduling platforms. The role addresses the technical challenge of aligning asset management processes with enterprise standards while ensuring high-quality outcomes across a complex portfolio of infrastructure, system integrations, and enterprise applications.
Design and govern the overall solution architecture for SAP Asset Management capabilities to align with enterprise standards.
Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions while prioritizing fit-to-standard functionality.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to design architects and delivery teams on architectural decisions.
Oversee integrations between SAP and external platforms including Azure Data Lake, API Management, and Master Data Governance.
Ensure all designs adhere to clean-core principles, security standards, and scalability requirements.
Conduct architecture assurance reviews to confirm alignment with corporate engineering and design standards.
Lead roadmap planning, release governance, and fit-gap analysis for the Asset Management portfolio.
Resolve complex technical issues involving infrastructure, system integrations, and enterprise platforms.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent professional experience may be considered).
10+ years of experience in SAP Asset Management, Enterprise Asset Management, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or a related technology discipline.
Experience designing or governing enterprise solutions across SAP Asset Management capabilities.
Experience with SAP EAM processes including technical objects, work management, planning, scheduling, inspection, and cost management.
Experience with enterprise integrations involving SAP and related platforms, applications, APIs, or data solutions.
Experience providing technical leadership and architecture guidance to design and delivery teams.
Knowledge of solution architecture principles regarding scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, and clean-core practices.
Master’s degree, oil and gas industry experience, specific SAP modules (APM, MDG), or relevant certifications (preferred).
