What you'll do

Support machine safety efforts for manufacturing and process equipment at the rocket motor production facility.
Serve as a technical resource during the design, commissioning, and validation of automated production equipment.
Conduct hazard analyses and risk assessments for robotics, conveyance, and lifting systems.
Specify and validate safety hardware including E-Stops, scanners, light curtains, and door interlocks.
Investigate equipment safety failures or workplace injuries to provide necessary corrective actions.
Ensure all production equipment complies with relevant regulatory standards and safety requirements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Robotics/Controls, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar.
2+ years of machine safety experience in a production environment.
Working knowledge of selection, integration, and validation of safety hardware.
Familiarity with machine safety standards such as ISO 12100, ISO 13849, and ANSI B11.
Familiarity with CAD packages including NX, Solidworks, or AutoCAD.
Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export controlled information or facilities.
4+ years of machine safety experience in a production environment (preferred).
Functional Safety certification (TUV Rheinland, TUV SUD, or CMSE [TUV NORD]), or willingness to obtain one (preferred).
