The RMA Engineer, Staff – Hyperscaler/Server Products joins the Hardware Engineering group to manage and process Return Material Authorizations for hyperscaler and enterprise server products. This role involves reviewing and logging returned components, maintaining accurate audit records, and performing root cause analysis on hardware failures down to the component level. The engineer will execute test plans for repaired units, validate server SKUs for AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, and manage inventory cycle counts. Required skills include hardware troubleshooting, debugging, and soldering, alongside knowledge of server architecture, TCP/IP, and DNS. Preferred technical proficiencies include Python, Bash, Ansible, and Puppet. The position focuses on solving hardware reliability issues within cloud infrastructure by coordinating repairs, upgrades, and return-to-service processes while ensuring compliance with ESD handling standards.
Review and log all returned server components and systems.
Maintain accurate RMA records and audit documentation for compliance.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
3-5 years in hardware troubleshooting or sustaining engineering (preferred).
Familiarity with hyperscaler server hardware, cloud platforms, and server validation processes (preferred).
Strong debugging and soldering skills, including micro miniature (preferred).
Knowledge of server architecture, networking, hardware interfaces, and compliance standards (preferred).
Experience with automation tools, scripting, and AI tools (preferred).
