RF Engineering Technical Leader

What you'll do

• Develop highly reliable RF system solutions for Cisco Enterprise Access Points.
• Create RF architecture in PRDs and participate in RFQs for the wireless portfolio.
• Validate and iterate on layout and schematics while running front-end design simulations.
• Evaluate RF components from various vendors and document measurements for recommendations.
• Manage relationships with RF front-end component vendors to track current and future offerings.
• Coordinate with firmware resources on radio calibrations and power table integration.
• Develop manufacturing test plans for RF stations.
• Perform failure analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action reports for RF performance issues.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 12+ years of experience, a master’s degree with 8+ years, or a PhD with 5+ years of related experience.
• Expertise in RF system design and 802.11 standards.
• Proficiency with simulation tools such as ADS and HFSS.
• Experience with successful end-to-end product development, including launching at least one hardware product from concept to production.
• Experience with internal and external antenna design operating in 2.4/5/6GHz (preferred).
• Experience with Wi-Fi product certification processes, including hands-on experience with EMC and safety testing (preferred).
• Expertise in UWB, BLE, and GNSS protocols with experience launching products using these technologies (preferred).
• Strong relationships with major Wi-Fi SoC suppliers and familiarity with manufacturing processes (preferred).
