Resident Engineer, Service Provider Routing and Switching Design Consultant

What you'll do

• Design and plan Juniper MX, PTX, and QFX network routing products and solutions within customer infrastructure.
• Test new designs, features, and Junos software releases in a laboratory environment to ensure stability before live deployment.
• Conduct information gathering workshops with customers to define technical requirements for new network designs.
• Train customer personnel on how to configure and operate HPE Juniper Networks products.
• Develop network operating procedures, configuration standards, and implementation plans for Juniper products.
• Troubleshoot equipment and network problems while managing JTAC cases through to final resolution.
• Provide regular written reports to the customer regarding project status, equipment health, and known network issues.
• Lead technical workshops to discuss hardware/software problems and provide updates on case statuses and workarounds.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in design, implementation, and operation of large-scale IP networks.
• Experience with JUNOS CLI and large-scale routing devices including MX, PTX, and ACX.
• Proficiency in IP service provider protocols including TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and IPv6.
• Knowledge of VPN technologies (MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, MVPN) and Ethernet switching features like QoS and 802.1Q.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, YAML, and HPE Juniper PyEZ.
• Ability to write automation scripts in Python.
• Strong communication, presentation, and customer interface skills for various organizational levels.
• Expert-level technical certifications (JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, or CCIE) are preferred.
