Research Scientist, Salesforce AI Research

What you'll do

• Identify high-impact research directions with the potential to transform enterprise AI.
• Develop zero-to-one AI product prototypes from promising research ideas.
• Work directly with customers to validate needs, test solutions, and refine product direction.
• Build robust models, agents, and AI systems for real-world enterprise use.
• Partner with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to bring solutions to market.
• Translate cutting-edge research into production-ready capabilities used by millions of users.

What we're looking for

• Maintain a strong publication record at top AI venues or a proven track record of shipping research into products.
• Experience with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or DeepSpeed.
• Expertise in Agentic AI, reasoning, reinforcement learning, or autonomous workflows.
• Expertise in multimodal models, computer vision, or speech intelligence.
• Proficiency in core modeling techniques including pre-training, RLHF, and model distillation.
• A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or equivalent full-time industry experience.
• Strong programming skills, such as competitive programming or significant open source contributions.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
