The Foundation AI Research Scientist joins a team focused on developing next-generation multimodal foundation models for healthcare. This role involves researching, designing, and building large-scale AI models capable of reasoning across complex medical data, including medical imaging, clinical text, electronic health records, and real-time monitoring data. Design and develop large-scale multimodal foundation models for medical imaging and healthcare data.
Research next-generation AI architectures, including vision-language learning and model distillation techniques.
Develop methods to improve model robustness, interpretability, and reliability in clinical environments.
Translate research prototypes into scalable technologies for real-world clinical workflows and decision-making.
Ensure AI systems comply with safety standards, ethical principles, and healthcare regulations.
Publish original research in leading journals and conferences such as TPAMI, CVPR, and MedIA.
Identify opportunities for new intellectual property and contribute to the development of patents.
What we're looking for
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field with research in machine learning, AI, computer vision, or medical imaging.
Master’s degree with significant research or industry experience developing advanced AI systems is also considered.
Demonstrated experience developing advanced machine learning or deep learning models and understanding modern architectures.
Experience with foundation models, multimodal learning, vision-language models, generative AI, or self-supervised learning.
Proficiency in medical imaging AI, model distillation, few-shot/zero-shot learning, and representation learning.
Strong programming skills using modern deep learning frameworks to build experimental prototypes and practical systems.
Ability to translate research into scalable products while ensuring AI safety, reliability, and interpretability.
