JOB TITLE: Release Train Engineer (RTE) The Release Train Engineer (RTE) serves as a servant leader and facilitator for the Agile Release Train within the Case Management Modernization Program. The RTE synchronizes multiple Scrum teams to develop, integrate, and deploy cloud-based solutions. Key responsibilities include facilitating Program Increment Planning, managing program-level risks, and tracking metrics like velocity and defect trends. The position requires expertise in SAFe principles, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. Candidates must be proficient with tools such as Jira Align, Azure DevOps, Rally, and Confluence. The role ensures cohesive execution of the program vision while maintaining compliance with federal Agile delivery standards and documentation requirements.

What you'll do

  • Facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) to ensure alignment with the modernization roadmap.
  • Plan and lead Program Increment (PI) Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Coach and mentor teams on SAFe adoption, process standardization, and DevSecOps culture.
  • Identify and manage program-level risks, dependencies, and impediments across multiple Scrum teams.
  • Maintain and report ART metrics including velocity, feature completion, and defect trends to leadership.
  • Drive continuous delivery pipeline improvements through CI/CD optimization and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal Agile delivery standards and documentation requirements.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of related experience in information systems and Agile software delivery.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer or Senior Agile Program Manager.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification is required.
  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification (preferred).
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or Agile Certified Practitioner certification (preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of SAFe principles, Lean-Agile leadership, and value stream optimization.
  • Experience orchestrating 6-12+ concurrent Scrum teams delivering under a single ART.
