Quality Engineering Manager, Apple Services Engineering

What you'll do

• Manage and develop a team of QE managers and technical leads to ensure clear priorities and growth.
• Define the quality strategy, including test coverage and release readiness across multiple product areas.
• Drive the adoption of scalable test automation practices in partnership with technical leaders.
• Communicate risk, status, and actionable quality data to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Advocate for team resources and negotiate scope with cross-functional partners to ensure sustainable work.
• Navigate ambiguous requirements and make sound decisions under tight timelines and shifting priorities.
• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, and Design teams to embed quality early in the development lifecycle.
• Improve internal processes, defect management systems, and reporting metrics across all managed teams.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance.
• 2+ years of experience managing managers or leading multiple teams.
• Experience operating in complex, diverse, and fast-changing technical environments across multiple products or platforms.
• Experience supporting or driving test automation adoption within a team.
• Proven ability to manage up by communicating clearly with senior stakeholders and defending quality positions.
• Experience managing through other managers, including a Technical DRI or equivalent senior IC.
• Working knowledge of test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, or scripting/programming (preferred).
• Familiarity with both hardware and software quality disciplines (preferred).
