Embedded Quality Engineering Manager, Camera

What you'll do

• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers while setting technical direction for the group.
• Own the camera and ISP quality test strategy, including functionality, performance, power, and stability.
• Write and maintain automation code in Python to execute test plans and develop internal tooling.
• Present test results, quality metrics, and risk assessments to senior leadership and partner teams.
• Partner with firmware and driver teams to define quality standards and expand CI/CD test coverage.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent to solve complex embedded camera quality challenges.
• Diagnose and triage complex firmware defects using logs, traces, and instrumented builds.

What we're looking for

• BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• 6+ years of experience in quality or test engineering, including 2+ years leading or managing engineers.
• 6+ years of experience defining and executing test strategy for embedded firmware, drivers, or system software.
• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks in Python or a comparable scripting language in macOS or Linux.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Git and embedded build systems.
• Experience testing hardware and backend integration points on embedded devices.
• Experience validating camera or ISP firmware, including the ISP pipeline, auto-exposure, auto-focus, and video formats (preferred).
• Experience performing image quality evaluation using test charts, light boxes, or measurement equipment (preferred).
