What you'll do

Develop and maintain a Quality Management System compliant with AS9100 and NavSea standards.
Implement statistical process controls and conduct FMEA to improve manufacturing yield and reduce scrap.
Interpret NavSea technical publications to create actionable manufacturing and inspection processes.
Lead the Material Review Board to manage non-conforming products and drive root cause corrective actions.
Audit and manage suppliers of critical components and special processes like welding and pressure testing.
Create inspection plans, work instructions, and lead First Article Inspections per AS9102.
Execute internal and supplier audits while serving as the primary contact for third-party audits.
Establish and track quality KPIs to analyze trends and report performance to leadership.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within manufacturing for aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries.
Hands-on experience implementing and being audited against an AS9100 certified Quality Management System.
Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone.
Experience leading First Article Inspections (FAIs) per AS9102.
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
