What you'll do

Develop, program, and execute inspection routines for CMMs, portable arms, and laser trackers using specialized metrology software.
Analyze dimensional data to perform root cause analysis, support statistical process control, and conduct capability studies.
Interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D CAD models to create comprehensive inspection plans validating GD&T requirements.
Provide Design for Manufacturability and Inspectability (DFM/DFI) feedback to design and manufacturing engineers.
Generate detailed inspection reports and present findings to cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions.
Develop and document standard operating procedures for metrology processes within the AS9100 Quality Management System.
Maintain metrology equipment calibration and assist in selecting new measurement technologies.

What we're looking for

8+ years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or metrology engineering role.
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in interpreting and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per the ASME Y14.5 standard.
Hands-on experience with at least one major metrology software platform like PC-DMIS, Polyworks, or Spatial Analyzer.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment governed by a formal Quality Management System such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and 3D CAD models.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
