What you'll do

  • Integrate sensors, navigation, propulsion, communication systems, and autonomy software into functional surface platforms.
  • Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans for development, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Manage day-to-day test operations including pre-mission testing, launch/recovery, vehicle tasking, and data analysis.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of maritime platforms in the field.
  • Author detailed operational test reports to document internal and customer-facing evaluation efforts.
  • Establish and refine operational metrics to evaluate system performance.
  • Manage configuration control, version control, and safety protocols throughout the development cycle.
  • Conduct multi-day offshore operations and sea testing to verify new capabilities.

What we're looking for

  • A genuine interest and 5+ years experience in systems engineering, integration, and test.
  • Experience generating TRRs, Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports.
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering, software development and testing, electrical engineering, and control theory.
  • Experience in field test and operationally focused environments.
  • Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and ability to use basic test equipment.
  • Experience with Linux, command line interfaces, and software debugging.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience working with the U.S. Coast Guard (preferred).
  • Experience operating and testing complex systems in a maritime environment (preferred).
  • Experience integrating surface/airborne sensors, navigation, and communication systems (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with marine operational procedures and equipment (preferred).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, R, or SQL (preferred).
  • Experience in developing and managing a test and evaluation program (preferred).
  • Experience in maritime operations at-sea (preferred).
