As a Python OR Java Software Engineer III within Corporate Technology, you will join an agile team to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You are responsible for executing complex software solutions, developing high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms, and creating architecture artifacts while ensuring all design constraints are met. Your daily work involves troubleshooting technical problems, analyzing large datasets to improve system architecture, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for refactoring and unit test creation. The role requires proficiency in Python, Java, and database querying languages, alongside experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services like EMR, Glue, ECS, and EKS. You will navigate the software development life cycle using CI/CD practices to solve technical challenges across various business functions while contributing to engineering communities of practice and promoting coding hygiene.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions using non-conventional approaches to solve technical problems.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with existing systems.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate code, refactor logic, create unit tests, and produce documentation.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring all design constraints are met by the code.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to develop visualizations and reports that drive continuous improvement of software systems.
Identify hidden patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and overall system architecture.
Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services like EMR, Glue, ECS, and EKS.
Implement automated workflows within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to increase delivery speed and value.
What we're looking for
Training or certification on Python software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency in coding Python and Java.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration in production environments.
Exposure to cloud-native development and AWS services, including EMR, Glue, ECS, and EKS.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of outputs.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools (preferred); familiarity with modern API/UI technologies (preferred).
