Psychometrist The Psychometrist joins the Human Performance program to support clinical services, research activities, and cognitive rehabilitation efforts. Working under the supervision of licensed psychologists or neuropsychologists, the individual administers and scores neuropsychological and psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, behavioral, and emotional health. Daily responsibilities include performing initial screening evaluations, conducting standardized intelligence and personality testing in large group settings or individually, and utilizing therapeutic interview skills to gather concise data for diagnosis and treatment planning. The role requires expertise in mental health, patient interviews, and psychological evaluations to support assessment and selection events. Candidates must possess a degree in psychology, sociology, or a related behavioral science field, along with experience in neuropsychological testing and scoring. This position addresses the critical need for specialized care and performance optimization within the SOCOM enterprise while ensuring safety protocols are maintained during all clinical interactions.

What you'll do

Administer and score neuropsychological, intelligence, and personality tests to evaluate cognitive and emotional health.
Conduct initial screening evaluations to identify client problems and determine appointment priorities.
Perform psychological assessments in both large group settings and individual one-on-one sessions.
Use interview skills to gather accurate information regarding a client's condition for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Apply research methodologies and statistical designs to fulfill specific requests for information from leadership.
Coordinate with military agencies and medical facilities to manage specialized care, treatment, and administrative functions.
Explain and interpret psychological services and procedures to clients and commands to facilitate access to care.
Implement precautionary measures to ensure client safety regarding risks of suicide, homicide, or elopement.

What we're looking for

Must be a United States citizen.
Must currently possess a Top Secret clearance.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related behavioral science field from an accredited institution.
Must have at least one year of full-time experience in psychological and/or neuropsychological testing and test scoring within the last three years.
Must be certified by the Board of Certified Psychometrists (BCP) or obtain certification within one year of hire.
The BCP certification may be waived if the required experience was performed under the supervision of an Operational Psychologist.
Must possess skills in mental health, patient interviews, psychological evaluations, and referrals.
