What you'll do

  • Provide advanced cognitive performance training to improve attention, memory, and decision-making in high-pressure environments.
  • Develop and deliver individual and group training materials focused on emotional regulation and stress management.
  • Advise leadership and stakeholders on cognitive performance strategies and program priorities.
  • Conduct biofeedback and neurofeedback training sessions for active-duty service members.
  • Track and monitor unit-specific metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the cognitive program.
  • Provide educational briefings on psychophysiology, sleep, and self-regulation to units and commands.
  • Support supervised research regarding psychophysiological, cognitive, and psychological performance.

What we're looking for

  • Must possess U.S. citizenship.
  • Must currently possess a Secret clearance or be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Must have a doctoral degree in Psychology, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, Sport Sciences, or a related field with a performance psychology specialization.
  • Must have post-doctorate experience practicing performance psychology or a related field within the past .
  • Experience must involve working with military members, athletes, or individuals requiring high levels of mental and physical performance (experience with Special Operations personnel preferred).
  • Must have experience in, or a willingness to receive training in, the interpretation of computerized neurocognitive testing.
  • Biofeedback certification (BCIA), neurofeedback certification (BCIA), and/or International QEEG Certification Board (IQCB) certification may be required by hiring unit.
