Program Chief Engineer, SIP serves as the technical owner for the SIP portfolio, driving the strategy, integration, and sustainment of complex mission systems from concept through operational use. Working within a team that bridges product development and field operations, you will translate ambiguous customer needs into executable technical plans, including architecture, requirements, and test plans. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of hardware, software, firmware, networking, and autonomy components while integrating third-party sensors and platforms. Key responsibilities include leading R&D prototyping, managing ATO/RMF cyber authorization strategies, and overseeing configuration control for deployed sites. The role requires expertise in systems engineering, command-and-control, tactical networks, and sensor fusion to solve complex problems in the defense sector. You will utilize tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitHub while navigating high-pressure environments to ensure mission success.

Support business growth by defining technical scope and feasibility for proposals, task orders, and customer white papers.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, systems engineering, aerospace, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, mission systems integration, defense technology, aerospace, autonomy, C2, tactical networks, cyber-physical systems, or deployed operational systems.
Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead, chief engineer, systems lead, or equivalent owner for complex hardware/software programs.
Experience integrating complex systems of systems involving software, hardware, networking, sensors, communications, compute, autonomy, fielded equipment, and third-party systems.
Experience translating ambiguous customer needs into executable technical plans, architectures, requirements, schedules, test plans, and delivery milestones.
Experience supporting deployed or operational systems, including troubleshooting, configuration management, field support, sustainment, and customer-facing technical execution.
Experience with DoD programs, government customers, operational users, or defense acquisition environments.
Familiarity with ATO, RMF, cybersecurity authorization, system security planning, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, or cyber compliance processes.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
