The Program Chief Engineer at Anduril’s SIP team is a high-ownership role responsible for driving the technical strategy and execution of complex mission systems from concept to operational use. This individual will lead end-to-end delivery of integrated hardware and software solutions, translating ambiguous customer needs into executable plans while making pragmatic decisions with incomplete information. Key responsibilities include system architecture definition, stakeholder alignment, integration strategy development, fielding readiness planning, and sustainment support. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in systems engineering, mission systems integration, and defense technology, along with a proven track record of technical leadership on complex programs. Proficiency in ATO/RMF processes, strong communication skills, and the ability to work across diverse teams are essential. Experience with C2 systems, tactical networks, sensor fusion, and autonomous technologies is highly valued.
Serve as technical owner for SIP portfolio, driving system architecture and execution.
Translate customer needs into executable technical plans and product requirements.
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex mission systems from concept to operational use.
Own integration across internal and external systems, ensuring seamless deployment.
Drive ATO/RMF strategy and continuous authorization efforts for deployed systems.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, systems engineering, aerospace, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience in systems engineering, mission systems integration, defense technology, or deployed operational systems.
Demonstrated experience as a technical lead for complex hardware/software programs.
Experience integrating complex systems involving software, hardware, networking, sensors, and third-party systems.
Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into executable technical plans and schedules.
Experience supporting deployed systems, including troubleshooting, configuration management, and sustainment.
