The Production Planning and Scheduling Engineer joins the Maritime Manufacturing Technology team to manage production processes for advanced autonomous maritime systems. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining an integrated master schedule that unifies engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality workstreams into a single cohesive plan. You will perform critical path analysis, resolve scheduling conflicts, manage shop load based on real-time material availability and labor, and conduct earned value measurements to track progress against the plan. The role requires proficiency in scheduling tools like P6, MS Project, Open Plan, or Aurora, alongside experience with ERP/MES systems such as Forge, Odoo, SAP, Solumina, or Oracle. You will solve complex manufacturing challenges by coordinating production for defense hardware, including surface, undersea, and sea-to-air vehicles within a high-tech maritime production environment.
Manage the integrated master schedule for module production across engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality departments.
Identify and resolve critical path conflicts while communicating impacts of changes to the program.
Determine daily shop load and dispatch based on material availability, labor capacity, and open nonconformances.
Measure plan performance against actual progress using earned value metrics to inform future planning.
Perform re-baselining of programs when changes occur and provide supporting risk analysis.
Drive rate readiness through rigorous planning, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination.
What we're looking for
Must have 4+ years of experience in production planning, production control, or master scheduling within shipbuilding, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage integrated schedules for complex manufacturing or defense programs.
Experience maintaining a real integrated schedule while managing critical paths involving material and labor fluctuations.
Familiarity with controlled production environments such as defense, aerospace, or automotive industries.
Proficiency with scheduling toolsets like P6, MS Project, Open Plan, or Aurora.
Proficiency with ERP/MES systems including Forge, Odoo, SAP, Solumina, or Oracle.
Must be a U.S. Person to access export-controlled information and facilities.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
