As a Product Regulatory Compliance Engineer within the Global Products Group, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and related capital technologies. You will develop long-term compliance strategies, monitor emerging environmental, chemical, and product safety regulations, and translate these requirements into actionable engineering goals. Your daily work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams like Engineering, Supply Chain, and Legal to influence product roadmaps and manage risks. You will represent the company in industry organizations and regulatory forums while drafting position papers and technical recommendations. Key competencies include expert knowledge of REACH, RoHS, CE Marking, Machinery Regulation, EMC, Battery Regulation, PPWR, PFAS requirements, and SEMI EHS standards. This role solves complex compliance challenges to ensure products meet global requirements across multiple technology platforms and diverse product lines.
Develop and maintain long-term global regulatory compliance strategies across multiple product lines and technology platforms.
Monitor emerging environmental, safety, chemical, and sustainability regulations to assess impacts on products.
Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable engineering and business requirements for internal teams.
Represent the company in industry organizations, technical committees, and regulatory forums to influence standards.
Conduct regulatory risk assessments and communicate findings to executive leadership.
Develop policies, procedures, and guidance documents to support organizational compliance efforts.
Mentor and provide technical leadership to regulatory compliance and product safety engineers.
Create executive-level presentations regarding compliance roadmaps, business risks, and status reviews.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, Master's degree with 8+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment, capital equipment, industrial systems, or similarly complex technologies.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level compliance programs and strategic initiatives.
Strong technical understanding of global regulatory frameworks affecting complex equipment and electronic products.
Expert knowledge of product regulatory frameworks including REACH, RoHS, CE Marking, Machinery Regulation, EMC, Battery Regulation, PPWR, and PFAS-related requirements.
Deep understanding of SEMI EHS standards and semiconductor industry regulatory practices.
Experience engaging with regulatory agencies, standards organizations, industry associations, or government affairs organizations.
Proven ability to influence external regulatory outcomes and communicate complex risks to executive leadership.
