What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for safety-critical software, services, and platform infrastructure for drone delivery.
  • Integrate drone operations into the DoorDash marketplace by aligning order fulfillment with aircraft availability and airspace constraints.
  • Lead the autonomy roadmap including mission planning, path finding, detect-and-avoid systems, and vehicle health monitoring.
  • Develop technical capabilities to transition from one-to-one operator supervision to multi-aircraft fleet orchestration.
  • Define the data strategy for aviation by determining which geospatial, weather, and airspace layers to build or source.
  • Build UTM and airspace management capabilities to ensure compliance with federal regulations and safety standards.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into reusable software features and automated workflows for operational auditability.
  • Make strategic build-versus-partner decisions regarding technology providers, data sources, and infrastructure components.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of product management, technical product leadership, systems leadership, or related experience for complex software or cyber-physical platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in autonomous systems, robotics, UAS, aviation technology, safety-critical systems, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Proven track record of taking technically complex products from early concept through validation, deployment, and operational scale.
  • Experience owning multi-layered technology stacks including embedded/vehicle software, cloud services, APIs, data infrastructure, and hardware integration.
  • Technical fluency in autonomous concepts such as mission planning, path planning, perception, localization, guidance, control, and behavior management.
  • Experience designing products for distributed, real-time, or mission-critical systems where reliability and safety are fundamental requirements.
  • Working knowledge of UTM, airspace management, geospatial data, flight-planning services, and various FAA-regulated environments (Part 107, 135, 108, 146).
  • Experience designing or scaling human-supervised autonomy, remote operations, multi-vehicle systems, and fleet orchestration.
