Software Engineer, Robotics Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Develop and manage critical onboard components including process management, health monitoring, and configuration management.
• Own the build system for C++ and Python while managing ROS2 middleware and cross-compilation for Jetson targets.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure for regression testing.
• Build and manage a parameterization system involving schema definition, validation, migration, and deployment.
• Create robotics logging, plotting, and debugging tools to improve team productivity.
• Support SIL/HIL development workflows in collaboration with the simulation team.
• Define reliability standards for onboard software such as watchdogs, failover, and graceful degradation.

What we're looking for

• Hold a BS, MS, or PhD in CS, EE, ME, Robotics, or a related field.
• Possess prior experience in a robotics infrastructure role at a robotics company.
• Demonstrate proficiency in robotics middleware such as ROS2, LCM, eCal, or Apex.AI.
• Experience with build systems and package managers including CMake, Bazel, Nix, or Conan.
• Experience working with NVIDIA Jetson and JetPack hardware.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for systems-level debugging and development.
• Experience with robotics logging and visualization tools like RViz, Foxglove, Rerun, or Plotly.
• Ability to develop fault-tolerant onboard software including process management and health monitoring.
