Process Engineer IV

What you'll do

• Conduct research, development, and evaluation for cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems.
• Develop and sustain new processes to reduce production costs and increase yields.
• Analyze test data to establish process specifications and determine next steps in development.
• Enhance processing techniques used in the manufacture and fabrication of products.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to align product roadmaps with business requirements.
• Contribute to the development and release of next-generation products for the semiconductor roadmap.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to process technicians during execution activities.

What we're looking for

• A Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field with 6+ years of experience is required.
• A PhD and 3+ years of experience is an acceptable alternative to the Master's degree requirement.
• Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for the specified educational requirements.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes such as ALD, CVD, PECVD, PVD, RIE, ALE, ICP, or CCP is preferred.
• Proficiency in scientific computing languages like MATLAB or Python is preferred.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and statistical tools like JMP or Minitab is preferred.
• Experience in material synthesis, characterization, surface preparation, and analytical techniques is preferred.
• Experience working in collaborative, matrixed environments with diverse teams and semiconductor customers is preferred.
