What you'll do

  • Conduct research, development, and evaluation for cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems.
  • Review and enhance processing techniques used in product manufacturing and fabrication.
  • Develop and sustain new processes to reduce production costs and increase yields.
  • Analyze test data to establish process specifications and determine next steps in development.
  • Coordinate and report on customer demonstrations for existing process applications.
  • Contribute to the development and release of next-generation products for the semiconductor roadmap.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to process technicians during execution activities.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master's degree, or a PhD without experience.
  • Equivalent work experience to the specified education and experience requirements is acceptable.
  • Familiarity with working in a laboratory and on semiconductor equipment with experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques (preferred).
  • In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or other similar scientific computing languages (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies (preferred).
  • Experience with statistical tools such as JMP or Minitab (preferred).
  • Background in deposition techniques (ALD, CVD, PECVD, PVD, ECD), plasma physics, etching (RIE, ALE), or material characterization (preferred).
