What you'll do

  • Develop, optimize, and scale complex multilayer coatings using Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS).
  • Design and execute experiments to improve manufacturing efficiency and optimize batch processes.
  • Serve as the technical lead for facet coating and backend operations including wafer scribing and automated inspection.
  • Manage equipment lifecycles from defining requirements for new tools to leading qualification and upgrades.
  • Implement process control plans, SPC, FMEA, and OCAP to ensure quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to mitigate defects and process excursions.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance across regions and maintain standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor daily performance, cycle times, and process health.

What we're looking for

  • Master's degree in Materials Science, Optical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Ph.D. in Materials Science, Optical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in thin-film deposition for optoelectronic devices.
  • Proficiency in vacuum physics and deposition techniques such as Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) and ALD.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis tools including SPC, DOE, FMEA, DMAIC, JMP, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of automated bar-handling, wafer scribing, Pick-and-Place, and AVI tools.
  • Practical application of Lean manufacturing methodologies is preferred.
