Principal/Senior Principal Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)

What you'll do

• Propose and design cyber systems architecture changes with full traceability to requirements.
• Perform cyber-attack surface analysis of system designs to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure weapon system compliance with contractually obligated cybersecurity standards like CNSSI 1253 and DoD 8570.
• Provide cyber implementation guidance and oversight across various technical teams.
• Develop and document technical standard engineering processes and procedures as needed.
• Participate in engineering reviews of technical requirements, design plans, and implementation plans.
• Conduct cybersecurity assessment activities and review security penetration test planning and execution.
• Solve complex problems across disciplines in an Agile, DevSecOps environment.

What we're looking for

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must possess a current active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
• Must be able to obtain an IASAE II certification (CISSP preferred) within six months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years, Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year of experience in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 9 years of experience in cyber systems engineering related fields in lieu of a degree.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years, Master’s with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 14 years of experience in cyber systems engineering related fields in lieu of a degree.
• Experience applying Model Based Systems Engineering to develop and model requirements.
• Experience managing requirements or systems engineering artifacts using tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or JIRA.
• Direct experience in systems engineering activities including requirements decomposition, architecture, design, implementation, integration, test, and verification.
• Demonstrated experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems using MBSE (SysML) (preferred).
• OMG SysML Model User Certification (preferred).
• IASAE level III certified (ISSEP, ISSAP) in accordance with DoDI 8570/8140 (preferred).
• Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with additional preference for SAP briefing on the Sentinel program (preferred).
• Direct experience supporting the development of RMF assessment authorization artifacts to satisfy NIST SP 800-37 requirements (preferred).
• Experience managing and directing efforts following an Agile and DevSecOps process model (preferred).
