What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end program management for quantum hardware initiatives from concept and design through prototyping and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a clear hardware platform roadmap by aligning milestones, resources, and risks with long-term goals.
  • Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams across quantum physics, cryoelectronics, manufacturing, supply chain, and cloud operations.
  • Manage relationships with external foundries, research labs, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality and security standards.
  • Identify and mitigate technical, scheduling, and operational risks throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Oversee Agile processes and ceremonies to remove obstacles and ensure timely delivery of critical milestones.
  • Incorporate feedback from internal and pilot customers to guide improvements in hardware and development processes.
  • Create data-driven reports and executive updates regarding program status, risks, and dependencies for stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in quantum information, physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or related technical fields.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Must provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status for export control compliance.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to drive innovation, efficiency, and automate engineering workflows.
  • Experience managing multi-year, complex hardware product portfolios involving deep-tech or first-of-a-kind technologies (preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of the hardware product development lifecycle from R&D through manufacturing (preferred).
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as quantum information, physics, or electrical engineering (preferred).
