Principal Technical Program Manager, Quantum Hardware

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end program management for quantum hardware initiatives from concept through delivery.
• Build and maintain a hardware platform roadmap aligned with long-term goals and resources.
• Coordinate alignment across physics, electronics, manufacturing, supply chain, and cloud operations.
• Manage relationships with external foundries, research laboratories, and equipment vendors.
• Identify and mitigate technical, scheduling, and operational risks throughout the program lifecycle.
• Oversee Agile processes and ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of critical milestones.
• Incorporate feedback from internal and pilot customers to guide hardware and process improvements.
• Develop data-driven reports and executive updates regarding program status, risks, and dependencies.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience in quantum information, physics, materials science, electrical engineering, hardware systems, or related technical fields.
• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or other protected status for access to export-controlled information.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to drive innovation, efficiency, and accelerate engineering and lab workflows.
• 10+ years of experience managing multi-year, highly complex hardware product portfolios involving deep-tech or "first-of-a-kind" technologies (preferred).
• Deep knowledge of the hardware product development lifecycle, including R&D, system integration, and technology transfer (preferred).
• Direct experience with quantum device development, quantum error correction, or quantum measurement/control hardware (preferred).
