JOB TITLE: Senior Quantum Architect The Senior Quantum Architect joins the Quantum Hardware Systems Architecture and Pathfinding team to define and drive the end-to-end architecture of scalable quantum computing systems. What you'll do

Define the system architecture for scalable quantum computing platforms across quantum and classical domains.
Drive architectural direction across hardware, firmware, software, cloud services, and system integration.
Establish system partitioning and co-design strategies across the full technology stack.
Define interfaces, dataflows, and integration frameworks to enable reliable and scalable operations.
Lead system-level trade-offs to guide platform evolution toward production-ready quantum systems.
Perform system modeling and hardware pathfinding for critical components and system integration.

What we're looking for

Must have a Doctorate with 1+ years, Master's with 3+ years, or Bachelor's with 4+ years of software industry experience.
Must have 4+ years of programming experience in related programming languages.
Must have 4+ years of experience working in a collaborative environment.
Must be able to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Checks and citizenship verification for export-controlled information.
Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or U.S. permanent residency for export control assessment.
Must be able to work in an AI-first environment using modern AI tools.
Must have familiarity with basic AI tools such as Office CoPilot, GitHub CoPilot, or Chat GPT.
Preferred: Doctorate with 3+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or Bachelor's with 8+ years of industry or R&D experience.
