What you'll do

  • Act as the technical subject matter expert for the enterprise API ecosystem including Apigee and Apollo GraphQL platforms.
  • Design and deliver secure, scalable, and highly available API gateway solutions for critical business applications.
  • Lead platform modernization initiatives, including migrations from Apigee On-Prem to Apigee Hybrid on Azure.
  • Drive GraphQL strategy, architecture, and optimization using Apollo Federation, Router, and schema governance.
  • Implement enterprise security controls such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, and traffic management standards.
  • Automate platform deployments and operations using GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Improve platform reliability through monitoring, observability, incident response, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience within a total information technology (IT) environment.
  • At least 7 years of experience with the design, development and support of technology infrastructure.
  • Experience administering and engineering Apigee OPDK including API management, proxy development, and traffic management (preferred).
  • Experience engineering and supporting enterprise platforms, middleware, cloud infrastructure, or distributed application environments (preferred).
  • Hands-on expertise deploying and supporting Apigee Hybrid on Azure AKS/Kubernetes environments (preferred).
  • Strong experience with Apollo GraphQL, including Federation, Router, schema design, and performance optimization (preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of API security including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, and enterprise best practices (preferred).
