What you'll do

Develop Java, Scala, and CUDA/C++ libraries to accelerate DataFrame and I/O operations for Parquet, ORC, and JSON formats.
Enable interoperability with table formats such as Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake.
Contribute code and participate in technical discussions within open source communities like cuDF, CCCL, and UCX.
Solve distributed processing problems at scale in collaboration with distributed systems teams.
Provide technical recommendations on infrastructure, continuous integration, and testing strategies.
Build, test, and optimize CUDA/C++ libraries across multiple platforms.

What we're looking for

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
15+ years of work experience in software development.
Excellent programming skills in C++, Java, and/or Scala.
Outstanding technical skills in designing and implementing high-quality distributed systems.
Familiarity with the open source data platform ecosystem including Apache Spark, Velox, Presto, Apache Arrow, and Apache DataFusion.
Ability to build, test, and optimize CUDA/C++ libraries across different platforms.
Experience contributing to open source communities is a plus.
Database query optimization experience is a strong plus.
