As a Principal Systems Analyst within the Compliance Technology Team, you will develop best-in-class compliance capabilities supporting every asset class in Fidelity Asset Management. Your daily responsibilities include creating technical documentation, system specifications, data flows, and process diagrams while driving scenario and use case analysis for comprehensive test cases. You will utilize SQL, Oracle, and relational databases while applying knowledge of web application architectures, APIs, and integration patterns. The role requires expertise in Agile delivery, test-driven development, and tools like Jira and Confluence. You will solve technical problems by ensuring production stability and aligning technology solutions with strategic compliance goals.

What you'll do

Gather requirements and define acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements.
Coordinate the definition and estimation of actionable epics and stories with the product manager.
Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, data flows, and process diagrams.
Drive scenario, data, and use case analysis to develop and execute comprehensive test cases.
Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure high levels of user satisfaction and production stability for delivered solutions.
Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to manage risks and issues.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree or above in a technology-related field.
Compliance, trading, and/or asset management credentials (preferred).
6 plus years of experience in business/systems analysis or product owner roles on large, complex programs.
Expertise in Agile delivery environments and technical practices including test-driven development.
Experience working in the financial industry and product experience (preferred).
Experience with SQL, Oracle, or relational databases.
Knowledge of web application architectures and familiarity with APIs, integration patterns, and data flows.
Proven quality assurance skills with experience in automation, manual test execution, and end-to-end testing processes.
