As a Principal / Sr Principal Data Analytics Engineer within the Aerospace Systems team, you will design and develop automated, end-to-end ETL pipelines and data visualization solutions from disparate sources. To succeed, you must possess strong proficiency in SQL and Python, along with expertise in developing Tableau dashboards to translate complex business needs into visual insights. You will navigate technical challenges by evaluating emerging technologies and ensuring compliance with data governance policies while providing the necessary analytics to drive performance across various strategic activities.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end ETL pipelines and data processes from multiple sources.
  • Build and optimize complex data models including star, snowflake, and data vault architectures for reporting.
  • Implement robust data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure the reliability of downstream insights.
  • Create reusable, documented analytics code libraries and SDKs to accelerate self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Apply version control, testing, and CI/CD practices to manage and automate data workflows.
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards, KPI scorecards, and ad-hoc querying tools for executive audiences.
  • Ensure all data operations comply with established governance, security, and privacy policies.

What we're looking for

  • Active US Government Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain Special Access Program clearances.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline and 5 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
  • Master's degree in a STEM related discipline and 3 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages.
  • Strong proficiency in developing and deploying Tableau dashboards to translate business needs into visual insights.
  • Experience with version control systems and Agile Software Development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
