Principal or Senior Principal Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance ETL pipelines for enterprise data initiatives.
• Architect data integration solutions to consolidate information from varied sources into centralized data warehouses.
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries and develop complex Python scripts for data processing and automation.
• Design and develop an ecosystem of interconnected business systems, virtualized data pipelines, and data catalogs.
• Mentor junior engineers on ETL design best practices, coding standards, and system optimization.
• Ensure data systems meet evolving business needs and compliance standards through cross-functional coordination.
• Share ownership of the technical vision and direction for the enterprise Digital Ecosystem.

What we're looking for

• For Principal Level: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with experience, Master’s with , or PhD with .
• For Sr Principal Level: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with experience, Master’s with , or PhD with .
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for building and optimizing data pipelines.
• Extensive experience in data integration, ETL framework design, and data warehousing.
• Proven track record of architecting reliable, scalable data solutions in a complex environment.
• Ability to obtain or maintain US Government final Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance.
• Experience with modern data streaming, orchestration tools, cloud data services, or visualization tools (preferred).
