What you'll do

Write production code for complex components and provide substantive feedback during pull request reviews.
Make and own architectural decisions for the eCOA platform, including API design and data models.
Pair with engineers on difficult technical problems to provide hands-on coaching and guidance.
Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and establish team conventions for AI code generation.
Define and enforce technical standards for testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-squad engineering organization while maintaining a high technical bar.
Translate clinical and customer requirements into scalable technical plans in partnership with Product Owners.
Represent the engineering organization with key stakeholders to align on product strategy and roadmap.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
3+ years of experience leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on with code.
Deep proficiency in React/React Native, Node.js/Java, or AWS cloud services.
Demonstrated ability to make sound architectural decisions across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
Practical, daily experience using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
Strong understanding of agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
Experience building AI/ML features, eCOA software, or working in clinical research domains (preferred).
